Since the mid 70s The Brecker Brothers have been part of the Jazz scene. They have been seminal in the birth of fusion on which they have had an immeasurable influence. Their songs are milestones which haven't lost any of their energy and virtuosity through the years.
Even the American Jazz musicians agree on one thing: WDR Big Band Cologne is the top-ranking jazz orchestar. Today the WDR Big Band is well-known and popular on stages around the world. They have a broad spectrum of musical styles from traditional big band to avantgarde. Over the last 10 years the WDR Big Band has worked with guests from all over the world, in the jazz idiom as well as in pop and crossover. Legends from traditional to avantgarde have greatly influenced the band and its members.
