Ok I live in Richmond, VA and for those of you who are in the area I think you will agree. Do these DJ's only have a selection of five cd's to play from! Where is the variety? Why is it that when I turn from one station to the next I get the same song on different verses. Please tell me it's not just Richmond and that we are all in a musical conspiracy. What disk are ya'lls DJ spinnin? Is he bumpin or do you wish you could bump his tiered ass out the booth? Holla at ya girl!

stations that are ran by Radio One have a playlist policy and some other technical mess... that is why you hear the same songs over and over and over again.
they play what people request.. i can't stand it.
but i love it when they throw in a Back in the Day joint.

basically.. but the general salary of a DJ (at a radio station) these days has drastically declined... mainly because mostly everything is run by computers and everything..
however, if you are a DJ spinnin' at a club or do private parties/events... that's actually where the money's at.

And then let's not forget the payola system, I've been told by a local dj no names but he told me about how some artist do the pay to play thing. And it's illegal but it's done at alot at 92. And how about 106 pays dj's more than 92 which is why everyone dipped over there. There is a whole bunch of stuff going down. And the personal appearances are only like $200 to the deejay, it's called a talent fee. I feel ya'll, bump they asses out!
