Anyone cop it? I got it today and it's dang near a masterpiece to me! Kanye did about every song on the album. I'm disappointed that there are only 10 tracks but they are some tight tracks. Standouts are the "Be (intro)," "The Corner," Go!," and my fav, "The Food (live)." Another disappointment are the two tracks that Bilal sings backup on. You can barely hear him. What's the point in havin' him if you don't utilize the brothas skillz? All in all the cd is off the chain, definitely some of his best work to date. Check it out.

Betta cop it quick, it's sellin' like crack! lol j/k Oh, I forgot, my other favs: "Faithful ," "Testify ," and "Chi-City " just to hear him say "Rick James B*tch! lol I also retrack my Bilal comment on "Faithful" it's sufficient but it's not on "It's Your World," he could've done more than that. You can play the whole album through though without skippin' a song.

Okay I brought this two weeks ago and I'm not sharing this with anyone. Common has more sense this time around, better flow, better delivery still on point politically, religiously and realtionship wise (we hope).
Fav tracks this week are 'Go' and 'Life'. Had a serious weekend debate on the lyrics of 'Faithful'. I'm talking 15 people with screw faces, Bibles/Korans and Isis papers on table mats and dry mouths at 5am. It was beautifull.
I agree with every publication around the world this is a classic album, not a classic track like 'I use to love H.E.R' I'm talking ALBUM, something we do not get anymore.

That's what I was talkin' about there being a lack of in that other topic. Man, that's cool that you have debates like that with others. It's things like that that I long for at times. Just to debate amongst peers, cool, laid back and honest.

I scratced my cd today, I really need to get an ipod (payday off to the apple store). Yeah the debate was great. My radio friend is having the same topic on his talk show come thursday, should be hot.
Bilal and John Mayer did not get use fully throughout the album, and I expected some female input somewhere. But I'm not gonner compilan when I'm killing my ear drums everyday trying to learn every word.

That's cool Jam.
Yeah, I was tellin' you how disappointed I was of Bilal not being utilized like he should've been. You're right, with John Mayer only sayin' "Go" the whole time, they could've gotten anyone to sing that. I didn't know it was him til I read the liner notes.
I'm really feelin' that "Love is..." joint now.
