During the day, Angel is a third year law student, determined not to let the ghetto take her down. But away from school she's the feisty girlfriend of Snake, the city's most brutal pimp. Kyra, an aspiring Psychologist, is also going to school to get herself out of the ghetto. But she's continually pulled back into the life by the two drug dealing men she loves. Ty and Marvin. Just when she gets the nerve to cut Ty loose, Marvin comes back from a seven year bid in prison and he won't take no for an answer. Will Kyra resist the charm of this ex-con or will he be the end of her promising career? Jaz is pursuing a degree in Chemistry and kicking it with Faheem a liqour store owner, with a profitable counterfeiting business on the side and a terrible jealous streak. That's why Jaz doesn't tell him about her trips into the country with Brett, her business partner. But when her business gets her into trouble, Faheem is the only one who can help her out.
