I'm not big on decoratin' but that's because I'm lazy. But I do like to shop for my family which is somethin' I enjoy doin' on Christmas Eve. I like the rush that I get in the big crowd. Anyway, I will be spendin' Christmas at my parents' house like I always do each year.

My fiance and I decorated my house last night, we put up a tree and lights in the window and on the tree in the front yard of my townhouse. My mom and I usually decorate every year on Thanksgiving night until this year, i started a new tradition with my fiance so we'll have a tradition to share with our children! My favorite thing to do for Christmas is buy presents!!! I love shooping for other people, but my favorite part is when the really love the gift! I was showered with presents growing up and basically I've grown out of loving to recieve gifts. I appreciate gifts now, but I'm fine about not getting them, and I thought I would never be able to say those words ;D I basically only buy presents for people I'm really close with. I feel like if I don't know you I'm not qualified to shop for you. I love buying toys for kids and that's really where all my money goes. I get my mom clothes, my brother clothes, my fiance gets a lot of clothes from me, I get all my girls clothes or accessories! But I don't get too in to shopping b/c I save my money for the Day After Christmas Sales!

Hey guys, I was thinking, would anyone like to do a secret santa? Anyhow Christmas, out of the four years I have been in Va I decorated my house once and that was last year. I was too broke to decorate any other year. This year I may decorate but I'm not sure. I usually go home to connecticut for christmas to visit my family and friends that I don't see throughout the rest of the year. But this year is going to be very sad for me. I'm going to be here by myself because I can't go home for christmas. and my boyfriend is going to see his family in Connecticut. My girls are down here so I might just go out but I don't know. I never spent christmas in VA and it all makes me very sad. I wont be able to see my homegirl that lives in Arizona and only comes back to Connecticut on Christmas. The list goes on but that's why I'm not decorating. I'll just be here trying to push my book and working on my novel Roots which I am 207 pages into. I love to celebrat Kwanza because I love my heritage. It is the one holiday that was started for us by us with principles that reflect our heritage so I'll do a lil something on the boards around kwanza time. Happy Happy everyone!

I love Christmas - the season, that is. Gettin' and givin' gifts got old - don't get me wrong, I still give and get, it's just I don't get all giddy inside like I did when I was kid. Other than that, I love Christmas music and love it when it snows up here this month. The season is too short.

I stopped celebrating Christmas in 1995 after my mother passed away. It wasn't until I had my son that I started celebrating it again , now I love Christmas. I love Christmas shopping and decorating the house.

You know that this same time last year my life was so different from now. It gives you a new perspective on life just to know that my freedom and the freedom of the one I love most could be taken at any given time. Y'all this Christmas is like a crossroads for me, my life can start to go really right or it could be all downhill from here. So with that in mind I just have to try to enjoy it the best I can and pray for the best, but I can admit I'm really scared. ANYWAY, I had a really great Christmas last year b/c I got a chance to see some people I missed rather badly AND as far as a certain scrooge goes I want her to know that just seeing her last year made my Christmas better. I still love my present too and I gots me a band aid wrapped around it
