where love feels like barbs
cutting into my skin.
I'm where love feels like punishment,
and I accept it
because I'm so desperate for it.
I'm like the fucking whore at your door
begging to be let in,
crying to be kept, to be restrained,
to be saved.
Craving your violence
because it's something
and it's intense...
and feels enough like love
to call it that.
Fucking pathetic
to be in this,
wishing for permanence,
and knowing it comes as a scar.
That's as far as you take me
calling it love.

This was deep and needs to be in the book seriously. Girl this is nothing but fierce and raw emotions unbottled and left to fizzle, I'm sorry it took me so long to get to respond, I have been reading some of your older stuff to give you further opinions on them but I'm telling you the truth I felt this.
