There has been a big fuss over a T-shirt in Boston . This shirt has the words "Stop Stitching " printed on it . The Mayor of Boston {who has been elected un-contested several times and is extremely well respected in communities of colour} asked store owners to stop selling the shirts as he fears it sends a message not to work with police to solve crimes ...a few shop owners complied . My question is ; Do you think the Mayor should have stepped in ? Do you think the store owners did the right thing ? Is this a breach of the Freedom of speech Amendment ? Here's more of the story www.thebostonchannel.com/news/5462632/detail.html?treets=bos&tid=2656343095813&tml=bos_7am&tmi=bos_7am_1_06000012052005&ts=H

I don't think there is a problem with the shirt, I've seen shirts that say terrible, horrible things and don't feel that it was serious enough to make it a issue. It is a breach of freedom of speech and I think the decision whether to sell the shirts or not is up to the store owners but if I were one, I wouldn't have stopped selling mine. Don't you know that makes them more in demand, as a store owner I'm in the business of making paper, not turning it away.
