This book has been on the bestsellers list since it's release in 1998. Robert Kiyosaki is the author and he teaches you about how to make money work for you instead of you working for money. It is an excellent book and but it will only work if you change your spending, reduce your liablities and start purchasing assets.
He has several books out, this is the first you should read. A friend recommended it to me and I have been on a mission to increase my finances.

[glow=purple,2,300]I was about to read it, but then I found out he is affiliated with this bonk-ass pyramid scheme called Quixtar, formerly Amway, parented by Alticore. Ruthless corporation -I refuse to touch anything they promote.[/glow]

Hey Renetrice! How you been?!
I looked that Quixtar thing up and it seems you are right. However, that still doesn't take away from the knowledge that can be gained in his books. I read them without having knowledge of that until now, but it's HIS affiliation not mine, it doesn't tarnish the information I learned from his books though. You still might want to check them out, because his affiliation with that company is totally separate from the info in the books I've read.

I suppose your right. I was looking though, a while back. Most of his money was made by buying houses auctioned by local governments for back taxes, right?

You're right, he actually says that in one of his books. He encourages the reader to look into those auctions to acquire good property at a cheap price. That is good info though.

Funny thing about this is I just met him yesterday morning. He and his wife were real cool. I didn' t ask them any questions but wish I had brought some of my books to get them signed.
