It's pretty inevitable that, at some point, you and your sweetie will go toe-to-toe on an issue. Unfortunately, when you find yourself in the wrong, it isn't always easy to admit it. This doesn't mean, however, that it has to stay that way. If you've found your way into the "dog house," try using a few of the ideas below to make your way out. Even if you are not the one in the wrong, it's good to remember that a sincere gesture can go a long way.
* Take an old sheet and write "I'm Sorry!" across it using a large tipped felt pen or marker. Hang it up somewhere your partner will see it, like the shower, garage door or a wall.
* Write a note explaining your feelings. Break any tension by putting the note inside of a humorous "I'm Sorry" card.
* Write out "I'm Sorry" using little Hershey's Kisses or rose petals.
* Write "I'm Sorry" on quite a few sticky notes and leave them all over the room, or on your partner's car.
* Hire a singing telegram person to sing an "I'm Sorry" message to your partner.
* Order flowers and include an "I'm Sorry" note.
* Give your partner a big hug and kiss, and tell them you are sorry!

simply
not to take anything away from what you said...
to me...I would never say sorry...I would say "I apologize"....sorry is sorry...you can be a sorry ass
I think when you say I apologize opposed to I'm sorry...
the apology sounds/feels more heartfelt...

[glow=red,2,300]Let me explain something to you all...in a friendly manner of course... a lot of these posts that I put in here... Love Life Board... ARE NOT ones that I have written myself. They are articles that I have found in different places on the web to give us something to dicuss amongst each other. Just because I posted it here DOES NOT mean that I am in agreement or disagreement with what the article is talking about. Please look deeper than the words that the author has chosen and look at the point that the article is trying to make. Thanks!!!!
Now with that being said... I was always taught to apologize and never to say I'm sorry as well.[/glow]

So ya'll gettin' tired of Ruben's song, too, 'eh? As for usin' the word, I think it's just an adjective....I apologize does sound better, but sayin' your sorry don't make you 'sorry' in that sense...if you sayin' you apologize instead of sorry, does that make you a better person?

sorry- feeling sorrow, regret, or penitence 2 mournful: sad 3 causing sorrow, pity or scorn: wretched apology- 1 a formal justification: defense 2 an expression of regret for a wrong It’s fine to feel “sorry” about something but other people deserve an apology (a formal justification) at least explain to me why, don’t just stand there and say that you are sorry…don’t buy me presents…the greatest gift you can give in a situation where you have wronged is an apology. It’s not about the words themselves but the definitions of those words. It’s about giving that person what they deserve as another human being it’s the closest you can ever come to righting a wrong. I think Slim’s words and also mine have been greatly misunderstood in this post…we were not trying to take away from anything being said by anyone else…just expressing our own opinions.

:)money doesn't hurt either.... just kidding Apologies mean so much it helps you move on. But when you apologize you need to mean it and not keep making the same mistakes. Also if you accept an apology you can't keep bringing it up. I hate that!

No offense was taken on my part... I just wanted to let you all know that I didn't write this article therefore I couldn't change it to make it say what I would have preferred it to say. All is cool on my end.
