What's the Best & Worst Concert You've Been To?

The Best one I've ever attended was Usher's 8701 Tour with Nas, Amerie, and Faith Evans. Not only did I have a good seat, but I wasn't disappointed with any of the performances.

The Worst one I've ever attended was The Women's Empowerment 2003 Network. It was back in March of this year and it would've been okay if it didn't start almost 2 1/2 hours late. Then I was disappointed because the acts were spaced so far apart. My friends and I arrived for the event around 10 that mornin' and Dottie Peoples and Jeff Majors began the festivities. However, Syleena Johnson didn't come on until close to 3 hours after them and only sang maybe 3 or 4 songs. And Brian McKnight and Heather Headley weren't comin' on until around 6:30 that evenin'. But after walkin' back and forth through the center durin' the long breaks in between the performances, my friends and I grew tired and left before 5:00. I really wanted to see Brian and Heather, but we could only take so much waitin' around.

My favorite was Jay-Z's Blueprint lounge tour, it was really laid back and he is a good live perfomer. It was beautiful to see the love his fans have for him, there were people in tears, I never thought somebody like Jay-Z could actually touch people but I was wrong.


The worst was this DMX concert summer 2002, it was only bad b/c it was outdoors and we got there late so we were all in the back. We have this really little friend and we all had to take turns with her on our back .

I have two best concerts: Mary's last concert here in Philly(no drama) and Jill Scott first concert here, Kindred opened up for her....

The worst concert I've seen was the last Patti Labelle concert here... Anybody who know me know that Patti is my favorite singer but her last concert was a little off!!! Her performance was to short and it just wasn't like her other concerts... Plus Jaheim opened up... I like Jaheim but he has ZERO stage presence..

I have to say Jill's, for the lady herself of course, and the fact that when people would step in my way and I'd cock my head to the side like scuse me... They would'nt give me attitude back but kindly moved on ova.

Lil stuff like that helps you to keep yourself in check so I thought that was cool.

Chaka Kahn she was messed up that night on something
She should have just placed a cd in cause damn it was really bad. Could've been a drug add......'this is your brain on drugs any question.' I'm glad she got it together...

Best Concert i've been to was Summer of 2002 in VA Beach (Amp.)..

Line Up was as so:

some chick (we missed her.. they weren't joking when they said it started at 7pm).. Gerald Levert and his daddy came out too and did "Casanova" with him....

then Angie Stone came out.. but that's when the storm hit, and yes, tens-of-thousands of us weren't lucky enough to buy a seat under the pavillion before it sold out.. so, yes, we were getting stormed on.. and yes, they cut Ms. Angie short.. she got like 3 songs in though.. and.. we waited, and waited, and waited in the storm (at least an hour and some change) for Luther Vandross.. and finally, he came out and blessed us with his beautiful voice... man-o-man, it was well worth the wait in the storm... and he put on quite a show... unforgettable and i waited a lifetime to see it.

kinda hardrock funk band
they are really good all black members except for the drummer
it was a concert in a park
the weather was ok
it had rain that morning but it stopped raining during the day so wenn this band start performing the sun was shining
lawd they did play hard and woow everybody was headbanging

at a sudden point of the show there was this dude out of the audience wha wanna do this stagedive
yall know that i dont know if some of ya have done this.
ok there this guy standing
and he jump
and what happen
peeps stepped aside

nobody did catch him
lol
lucky for him it had rain and the ground was wet and soft so he didnt break anything

the band did stop playing and the singer was like wha that fuck is goin on there
and did ask the dude if he is ok lol
but all was ok
and everybody start laughing


another concert:

i was at this party and there was this singer ok it was not my kinda music but hell i had fun
anyway i was on the side of the stage watching the drummer what he is doin
suddenly the singer stopped
she was like peeps yall have to see this
and he pointed at this lady who didnt wanna step aside for this men in his wheelchair .
the singer did ask the woman if she could move so that the wheelchair could stand infront of her so that the men in that chair can see ..lawd that woman refuges
could ya believe that

and they were like hmm
but lucky somebody els stepped aside for this man in his wheelchair .
can ya believe this that peeps dont wanna step aside for this..

Best concerts first. Michael Jackson the Bad tour. Rhythm of Love tour featuring Gerald Albright, Will Downing and Patti Austin. Essence Music Festival Gladys, Patti, Luther and B.B. King in one night. Earth Wind and Fire and Stevie Wonder back in 1974. Earth Wind and Fire opened up for Stevie and they were so good no one wanted Stevie to come out. Peabo Bryson and Phyllis Hyman.


And the worst....The Isley Brothers. Al B. Sure. The Budweiser Superfest started at 7:00 p.m. Al B. Sure came on at 4:30 in the morning and he sounded like a wounded gerbil. I was hysterical. I waited for Al B. Sure and he was dead last. All my friends really thought that was funny. Lakeside and One Way. They were so bad I vowed I wouldn't go see them if they were in my basement. Mikki Howard headlined with Jon Lucien and Alex Bugnon. She had on an outfit similar to Missy Elliott's black suit that she blew up with air except hers was patent leather. It was a very small venue in Atlanta and she could hear people talking about how bad she sounded. She stopped the band and said that we could all shut the H### up and get the f*** out and promptly walked off the stage. The all time worst. Chaka Khan 1979 Front Row Theatre Cleveland Ohio. Frankie Beverly and Maze had sang every song in creation. Excellent! Chaka was helped on stage and propped up on the microphone. As soon as the people let her go, she fell flat on her face and we never heard one note. I still haven't seen Chaka Khan live and she is one of my favorites. Everybody just got up and left. This was a good one. Thanks for the memories.

i have seen her twice
the first time was worst >>she was drunk or stoned whateva ..i didnt hear any sound of her ..or she did forgot the lyrics
but it did sound awefull (she didnt had her own band )

but few years ago she came back and how
lawd that woman can sing...

Up in Smoke Tour in Atl also...they were all off the chain and the fact I got fuck up before I got there made it even better!! ;D
