Do u find yourself listening to more old school music than this current state of non sense that's out on the market right now....I like the old school R and B....music back then talk to your soul, not too much thats out right now does that for me...and my Hip Hop same thing, today's rap music is too reduntant for me...is it just me that feels this way about the current state of affairs concern with music??

I agree that much of today's music talks about the same things in both rap and R&B...sex and how much ice one is rockin'. I like listenin' to a lot of laid back kinda music with a majority of it bein' ol' school songs by my favorites like Atlantic Starr, The O'Jays, Surface, Alexander O'Neal, and Sade.

that's majoity of what i listen to, Old R&B...
Adult Contemporary R&B.. and R&B still fill my speakers.. but majority of the rap that comes out nowadays, naah.. i can't go for it... i think i was born too late.. because i'm only 18.. yet, my taste of music lies with that of most people my ages' parents.

Old school is all I have in my car. My co-workers laugh at me all the time. I'm 32 and I have cd's with Peter Brown(Do ya wanna get funky with me?) and Colonel Abrams(Trapped, and I'm Not Gonna Let) on it. As far as old school hip hop, I got some Antoinette, UTFO(You cold wanna be with me?) some Dana Dane and Sweet T. I try to get stuff that you usually dont hear on the radio, even when they are playing old school. The stuff that they play on the radio now is a joke. You cant even understand half of what they are saying. I dont listen to the radio in my car. It's all cd's. I might hear some recent songs that I like, but it's not because I'M listening to the radio....someone else is.
