The singer's sophomore album "The Diary of Alicia Keys," came out swinging with 618,000 copies sold for the week ended, according to SoundScan numbers out Wednesday. The set also scored her the best single-week sales of any female artist in 2003. Keys' sales bested Britney Spears' "In the Zone," which sold 609,000 copies late last month and replaced Spears' offering for the fifth all-time best sales week by a female artist.
