So here we go. The world has come to a point in its history where we could either continue the way we have or the way we should be. XXI is here suggesting lofty goals. But are they that crazy?
The idea of reforming the sub-concious of a global society sounds impossible, but it happened in the 15th century. I'm Dominican, and the way my people have treated their lives is disgusting to me. To me it shows my younger cousins and siblings that all they have to look up to is either selling drugs, playing Baseball or working like slaves for some major corporation.
What is your take? Do you think that the world is decaying because of lack of philosophical and moral foundations, or do you think the global society is fine the way it is developing?

[glow=white,3,300]I am convinced the world is on it's way to hades in a handbasket! However, I don't think a mental revolution is the first approach to better. I think-- and this is just me--that the world needs to get rite with God. We need to stop accepting the trash being pumped into out veins, eventually hearts and minds via television, music, etc... We need to get back to the times when people reverenced the Lord, and adhered to the Beatitudes, and 10 Comandments. The world won't be perfect, but it will be a start. Jesus said "Come, let us reason together." We need to stop using our intellect, and the Alpha and Omega order our steps.

I disagree so much with you. Religion has been the one thing that has stopped the progress of mankind in the world. It tears apart family, nations and races. It makes people judgemental, and keeps people perfectly ignorant. Religion will destroy mankind.

You're right. RELIGION will tear nations apart. Religion has people at odds with one another, NOT THE ONE AND TRUE LIVING GOD! The world has strayed away very far from Him, and that is apart of the reason the world is in the shape its in. That and our free will is to blame. The sad part is that it will not get better until certain things yet to be unfold occur. But, I know Jesus would move very powerfully if we all surrendered our hearts to Him. That is why He die, and roes... so we could have life more abundantly.
