Rosa Parks' funeral is today.</p> It is difficult to quantify or qualify Parks' role in American history. Was she "heroic", in the hour that made her famous? Is that the word to use? Was she heroic for her role afterwards? Or was she merely an ordinary person, forced into a role as spokeswoman and role model despite no such aspirations?
The bus is in a museum; Rosa herself is today being laid to rest. The act itself is, in every sense of the word, history. She is remembered by several generations that watched the results of her actions, millions upon millions that knew her only from still photographs, and brief and glancing interviews, and television, and that watched King, and heard the words, and took action in some cases, or simply took it all in, in others, now to be remembered only in vague snippets of memory, scenes from distant living rooms and childhoods.
If there is one lesson, it is the same lesson as always. There is no wall which will come down, except for one brick at a time.
She stood before a single brick, and pulled it out.

The wall is still standing strong. Yeah brick by brick it's coming down, but my question is will it ever fully be gone?? Yeah I feel she was pushed into her role of a lifetime by merely being tired from a hard day. But god gives us our journey's and we must walk them. I for one can't wait to meet her on the other side just to ask her what she felt about her life.
