...And since we're all one big happy fam here ;D, I need to know if I was right or wrong with this situation:
Here's the deal...one particular board where I've been a regular member/moderator since December of last year, may not see me anymore simply because the admin sent me the followin' message today in a thread made only for the forum staff to read...
And not to sound offending, but *my forum name*, the countless topics have got to stop. I appreciate the fact that you've stuck close with community, but it's no longer beneficial, in fact, it's annoying. There are countless pages of news and articles, the majority of which are completely ignored. I don't even bother to read them anymore. I'm not saying to stop posting, but don't post every little thing. I love to be informed, but the simple fact that Mya is wearing an unappealing outfit doesn't need a thread. Please, no more news. Again, I'm not trying to offend you, but this is a one of the reasons why people like *former board member* have left the forum. I'd like it if that didn't happen anymore in the future.
And here's my response that I sent back to him...
I would have sent this earlier today but with my being at work at the time, I didn't want to get caught since my supervisor was nearby. Anyway, I'm glad that I decided to go into the staff's lounge today to check the updated posts as it's quite obvious that I hadn't checked this particular thread in a little over a week. The point I'm making is that the last thing I would want to do is run members away with my numerous posts or to be annoying to the fellow members that do hang out and post here. This wasn't and will not continue to be my intention not only at this board, but at the vast majority of boards that I visit and post at on a daily basis. The sole purpose of the topics I posts at my favorite boards are to share interesting information (mostly humorous at times since they say laughter is the best medicine) on a broad variety of topics. Which would also bring forth the point that I'm not doing it for beneficial reasons. I'm just having a lil' fun because that's me.
But anyway, being that I have or have had the privilege of being a member, moderator, and/or global moderator at several other boards during the past few years, none of my posts have ever been a problem with the administrators/members of those forums; so maybe it was bad judgment on my part for assuming that my posts at this board wouldn't cause this type of situation. So, once again, for that I apologize. Besides, you're the administrator and I have to respect your rules and requests.
With all of this being said, as of today, I will drastically cut back on my posts so that both present and future members won't back away. And if there have been others, besides *former board member*, who have expressed their feelings about this particular situation becoming a problem for them resulting in their not visiting the board, please extend my sincere apologies to them and let them know that I'll make sure that this doesn't happen anymore.

Now back to my original question...am I not supposed to post at the forum? That's what its purpose is for, right? And this is a board that I've really enjoyed hangin' out at but after what I was told by this person, I'm like "man, I don't need this"! And the bad part is I've made quite a few friends over there. Am I bein' too hasty with wantin' to leave this board?
