I've tried slim fast, and the hollywood juice diet, that one worked pretty good if you are going somwhere like the next day you know what I mean? It's like a one day deal.

I have tried Slim Fast also... it worked for me... but at a very slow rate. I would drink the shakes, eat the bars, and have one basic meal a day.
I have also tried the Hollywood Juice diet... and in all honesty, I don't beleive it worked for me. Maybe I did something wrong.

I'm actually a regular gym goer, I play tennis, and I'm even trying out for a new professional womens football team. I eat pretty well so, I haven't needed to diet as of yet BUT my cousin (who is like my sister) did the Jenny Craig thing and OH BOY! Ok so she was up to about a size 16 (I thought she looked great!) but she did Jenny and after a couple of months she was a size smaller than me and I'm a 7/8. So it worked and she was able to keep it off. Then she had a baby not quite two years ago and she is still only a size 12 without being able to work out regularly and eat right so Jenny gets the job done!
Now she is using LA weight loss because she said it's less expensive than Jenny, I see the baby fat coming off of her with that too. It's just taking a little more time than the Jenny Craig program.
My mom and my best friend are on the adkins diet and I can't really see a difference in them yet, but they are not known to really stick to diets either. Personally I plan on using Jenny Craig if ever I want to diet but I probally won't stick to it either ;D

yeah girl that is my main problem, sticking to a diet, maybe because I am always on the run doing things but I never seem to be able to stick to it you know? So I joined a gym, have exercise tapes and got slim fast in the fridge so now it's up to me, but the thing about it is thanksgiving is coming and I love to cook and then I love to eat what I cook and then I have left overs until christmas!

well, i box... and it's manditory to run miles every morning plus attend practice 5 days a week (if there's a fight coming up, it's 6 or all 7 days a week)... it's a culture on it's own and we're all "not right" in the head. .. and with that, we have to stay a certain weight.. my problem, is i eat A LOT and i have a sweet tooth from hell... but, then again i don't want to be bone skinny... "i have meat like a steak.. but not fat like a hamburger" (as i always say).
Magazines have tarnished women's views on appearence in themselves... my best advice is make sure you get 20min of exercise on a regular basis and stay away from carbohydrates at night.. it's the un-used carbs that puts the fat on.. i think that's the foundation of the Atkins Diet (low carbs, high protein)... which, is a good concept. just ladies, pleeease, stay away from the pills and such, that mess will mess you up in the long run..

I'm going to start going back to the gym this week, now that I don't have the excuse of going on vacation. I am happy with where I am now I just want to ouch up my stomach and thighs you know what I mean? just get firm.
Realist where do you box at? I want to support you and come to one of your fights, That's tight, I like boxing. I can watch that sport.
I'm damn near a veggie head because I don't eat like beef or pork but the sweets kills me to. I've stopped eating after like nine or eight at night so for the past two day's i've gone to bed hungry!

Ever wonder how you gained so much weight: In the last 20 years, the food industry has increased the size of the food products, increased the number of new products and increased the marketing of products. Some say that personal health and well being are a matter of personal responsibility. But the processed food industry and the government know what is happening — and they are making a bad situation worse. Last year there were more than 2,800 new candies, desserts, ice creams and snacks on the market — but only 230 new fruit or vegetable products. "I don't think that you can talk about giving the public what the public wants without discussing the $33 billion a year that the food industry spends to try to promote that kind of want," said Marion Nestle, a professor of nutrition, food studies and public health at New York University. abcnews.go.com/sections/WNT/Living/obesity_031208.html

Well, honestly speaking I've never been on a diet. I've always been active in sports in school it was handball, track, swimming. Now it's Bikram Yoga, Bikeriding & swimming so I maintain a lean shape. I eat well, lots of fruit, veggies and don't indulge in meat so my weight really has never been an issue. I used to be too small (at one point) thank god I gained some weight. My problem is ice cream I luv it. But not even that. Come to think of it my mother is lean..so it's in the genes.
