My proposal for a poetry workshop got accepted at George Wythe High School! I will be starting the four week long workshop next week and I am so excited!

I am so happy, I finished the first weeks lesson last night which broke down fundamentals both traditional and untraditional. Using examples from poets like Maya Angelou, Langston Hughes, Nikki Giovanni, Sonia Sanchez and myself. It's going to be a great crash course and I may do another one for adults using the same course. It's going to be fun and informative for the kids.

I actually will be doing one for adults for four weeks right after this one. It's going to be a small class with potential hip hop artist but I'm going to teach them all the same things. It starts this up coming monday I haven't set a time in stone yet but what time do you get off of work?

Kita, the class for adults I was going to do my boyfriend has reschelduled his crew but I will do a seperate one at my house or at Tropical soul with me you and Autumn and if you know anyone else that wants to take it. How does 5 sound?

Great, had my first class last week and alot of drama happened to where as I only had six kids for the class but it was better because I got more personal with them. Today the class is at 2:30 and they have a quiz, i'll let you know more after today's class.
