What we have read to date: Another Man's Wife - Shonda Cheekes Thugs and the Women who Love Them- Wahida Clark
Please list nominations and recommendations here for books that we should read.
I'd like to recommend Project Chick by Nikki Turner. I'm reading that right now.

I will recommend Black Coffee No Sugar No Cream by Crystal White. It's a book of poems but it's easy read and really good.

In addition to reviewing: Black coffee no sugar no cream let's also support and review for the book club: Perlis of the Heart by K. Patrick and The last bad decision, Paula Edwards. Big ups to all those authors trying to do it the independant way!

Uh, can we read some books that aren't all geared towards love and romance.
Here are two of the last books I read that aren't black books, but you'll get a lot from them.
They are both by Mitch Albom, the first is "Tuesdays With Morrie" and the second is "The Five People You Meet In Heaven."
I'm really suggesting the latter book cause it truly makes you look at your life, the people you meet and the people whose lives you affect and don't even know you did.

Oh, and have you seen any commercials lately? The book we read, "Skipping Christmas" is now a movie that is coming out this christmas. It's called "Christmas with the Kranks."

I had to clear my book choice, so I'm open to suggestions. But I have to say pure black fiction don't always work for me, can we have a little variety in the mix?

But I have to say pure black fiction don't always work for me, can we have a little variety in the mix? That's what's up. I like to have a variety too. Does anyone have a book they haven't read or don't mind reading again to suggest? In the meantime, I'll be searching for one and get back at you all.
